The business

FVS Services Group (‘FVS’) is a leading provider of testing, inspection, maintenance, repair and minor works services for fire equipment across Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The business conducts services on both “wet” (plumbing) and “dry” (electrical) equipment, as well as detection, suppression and associated equipment. FVS services primarily commercial and industrial facilities and customers.

FVS is a specialist in fire and life safety, with the broadest and deepest capability in Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Fire equipment testing, inspection, maintenance and installation is heavily regulated, and FVS partners with customers across healthcare, aged care and other facilities where critical fire compliance is a major focus.

FVS Services Group

Why Fortitude partnered.

The same frame guides every investment: good people, building a good business, in a good market. For FVS Services Group, that means:

01 Good people

A management team with deep experience in scaling a similar business, partnering with an existing team with a reputation as a market leader. The FVS team have long-standing customer relationships, and combined with our partners Michael Jorgensen, Diana Popov and Mark Brisson, we believe the team can become the national leaders.

02 Good business

FVS is a leading provider in the industry, with long-term contracts supported by highly trained staff. The FVS team has significant capabilities in designing and optimising fire safety systems, with leading reach in its primary markets of Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

03 Good markets

Structural and resilient demand for essential products and services in a large and growing market, with room to consolidate a fragmented market and become the national leader.

How we work together.

We acquired the business from former family office shareholders. We have partnered with management and incoming operating partners to scale the business. Fortitude has brought capital, strategy focus and people to help the business become more valuable.

Capital

Growth funding to invest in the business with confidence, and to fund acquisitions.

Strategy focus

Market insight, acquisition experience and a growth mindset to help focus resources and effort on execution of the strategy.

People and governance

A new group chief executive, Michael Jorgensen, and an independent non-executive director, Mark Brisson, formerly chief executive of Chubb Australasia, alongside a new chief commercial officer; building a strong board, enhancing reporting and driving senior hires to build capability for scale.

Could this be your next chapter?
